Soldering is the process of using a filler material (solder) to join pieces of metal together (wires, PCB) to form electrical connections. In this workshop participants will be shown how to properly operate the soldering iron, taking into account safety precautions, as well as tips for making soldering easier. You will learn how to splice, solder and desolder wires as well as gain some practice on a free learning-to-solder kit. You must complete this workshop to use the soldering irons in the Makerspace.

La soudure est le processus qui consiste à utiliser du matériau (la soudure) pour attacher des pièces de métal (fils, circuits imprimés) afin de former des connexions électriques. Dans cet atelier, les participants apprendront à utiliser correctement le fer à souder, en tenant compte des précautions de sécurité, ainsi que des astuces pour faciliter la soudure. Vous apprendrez à épisser, souder et dessouder des fils et vous vous exercerez à l'aide d'un kit d'apprentissage de soudure gratuit.
