Cet événement est réservé aux membres de l'Université d'Ottawa.

La formation TIG offerte par CEED est la première étape pour accéder aux soudeurs TIG à l'intérieur du Brunsfield Centre. Dans cette formation, les participants apprendront les bases de la soudure TIG, mais la formation se concentrera davantage sur la théorie du soudage TIG, comment régler les machines et quels sont les résultats.

Afin de participer, les étudiants sont prié de :

Porter des pantalons non synthétique tel qu'un jean et des chaussures fermées doit être porté. Si vous vous présentez sans vêtements appropriés, vous ne serez pas autorisé à participer à la formation.
Avoir suivi la formation de base CEED- Basic Training
Avoir suivi la formation CEED - Welding safety and Basic MIG
L'atelier de soudage peut êtres un environement sale, alors portez des vêtements appropriés
Creéz un compte Makerepo (il sera utilisé pour garder compte des formations reçu et donne accès aux espaces du CGEC)

Ces vidéos vous permettront de mieux comprendre ce qu'est le soudage TIG et à quoi s'attendre de cette formation.

The TIG training offered by CEED is the first step in getting access to the TIG welders inside the Brunsfield Centre

Takes place in the Brunsfield Centre (STEM 129)

This event is exclusive to members of the University of Ottawa.

The TIG training offered by CEED is the first step in getting access to the TIG welders inside the Brunsfield Center. In this training attendees will learn the basics of how to TIG weld, but more importantly the training will focus more on the TIG welding theory, how to adjust the settings on the machines and what are the results.

Attendees are required to do the following in order to participate to this event

Non synthetic pant such as Jeans and closed shoes must be worn. If you show up without proper clothing you will not be permitted within the welding area.
Have completed CEED- Basic Machine Shop Training
Have completed CEED- welding safety and basic MIG Training
Keep in mind that the welding area can be a dirty environement so wear appropriate clothing
Make a Makerepo account (this will be used to keep track of your certifications and give you access to CEED spaces)

Brunsfield's Welding Manager highly recommends watching videos from this youtube channel before coming to the training (https://www.youtube.com/user/weldingtipsandtricks/featured). These videos will give you a higher understanding of what TIG welding is and what to expect from this training session.
