Description

This learning and development session takes an experiential, skill-building, and trauma-informed approach to promote reflection, problem-solving, and the growth of practical trauma-informed skills. The facilitator will provide actionable strategies to help leaders and managers cultivate a trauma-informed and collaborative approach when supporting diverse team members.

Guest Speaker: Tenniel Brown

Since 2001, Tenniel Brown has been committed to providing accessible and transformative support services to individuals, families, and groups from diverse communities across Canada. She applies tremendous passion and skill to assisting organizations to develop an understanding, formalize policies and drive strategic development on Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) topics. Tenniel is an accomplished facilitator, speaker, clinical supervisor, and educator. She is a registered psychotherapist and certified Hatha Yoga Instructor. Tenniel earned a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development Studies from the University of Waterloo, and a Master of Social Work degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. Tenniel has an extensive and diverse occupational background including leadership, teaching, training, counselling, and clinical supervision in various academic and public institutions.
