TICKETS GO LIVE ON FEBRUARY 16TH!

DATE & TIME: Saturday, May 4th 2025, 10:30AM to 3:00PM (setup begins at 9:20AM)

COST: $65+processing fee+HST (these costs are detailed when you buy a ticket) per space.
This cost includes a 60"x30" table and 2 chairs provided by the venue. You do not need to bring your own.

LOCATION: The Glebe Community Centre, 175 Third Ave, Ottawa, Ontario K1S 2K2
Please note that the hall used for the market is up a set of stairs. An elevator is available, but priority MUST be given to those with mobility issues.

IMPORTANT:
This market is only for local artists, makers, and crafters. If you are in direct sales, MLMs e.g. Sweet Legs, Norwex, etc, or resellers, do not apply.

SQUARE LEMON VENDOR GUIDELINES AND EXPECTATIONS:

CHECKING IN: Vendors will check in at the community centre entrance. Table locations will be assigned to accommodate flow and variety of products to provide the best experience for market attendees. If you have specific requirements please email info@squarelemon.ca and we will make every effort to accommodate you.

GLEBE COMMUNITY CENTRE: The event is held on the second floor, up a set of stairs. There is an accessible lift for those vendors who need it. Please remember that people with mobility issues have priority. Volunteers are also available to help bring your items in. Please ask a Lemon if you do not see any available volunteers.

WIFI is NOT available on site. Bathrooms are available for vendors and attendees. Square Lemon will be providing free refreshments for vendors of tea, coffee and water.

VOLUNTEERS: We have an amazing team of volunteers! If you need help bringing your items into the hall, or back out of the hall, please ask a volunteer! They are available throughout the market to help, so please do ask them. Also, they are volunteers - we ask that you treat them with respect and kindness. If you would like to become a volunteer, or have someone who would like to become a volunteer, please email our Volunteer Coordinator volunteer@squarelemon.ca

ACCESSIBILITY: Glebe Community Center is accessible including disabled parking spots, an elevator (Priority is always for people with mobility restrictions) and accessible washrooms. If you require any assistance during the event feel free to ask a volunteer and we will try our best to accommodate your needs.

SET UP & TEAR DOWN: We open at 9:20AM to allow for vendor set up. Please do not arrive for setup before 9:20am. Vendors must be fully set up by 10:30AM, when the doors open to customers. No equipment will be available for moving your stuff so please bring your own dollies, etc. Vendors must have their area packed away and tidied by 4:00PM. We ask that you do not pack up before the end of the fair or until an announcement is made by organizers.

DISPLAYS: Vendors are to ensure that no display equipment (racks, stands, etc.) extends beyond their allocated area. Your display must not interfere with other makers/crafts persons, or obstruct the aisles. No tacks, pins, or staples in the walls or tables. Vendors are responsible for their wares and are expected to have someone tending to their tables at all time.

PARKING: If there is no snow:
After you have unloaded your items please move your vehicle into the free parking lot we have arranged for the event. This will be signposted, and Stephanie will be sending an email with directions and photos to help you find it. It is right next to the Community Centre.

We will not be able to provide free parking, as the lot is not available during snow.
However, you should still move your vehicle away from the curb-side parking at the Community Centre. There is a municipal parking lot with entrances on Second and Third Avenue which requires separate payment. Be aware that only the third level and above have extended parking rates; the lower levels are short-stay only.

Moving your vehicle away from the curb-side parking at the Community Centre will encourage customers to attend the market, and, hopefully, increase your sales.

CRAFT FAIR ADMISSION: There is no admission fee for the public for this event.

PHOTOS (optional but highly recommended): Please provide three to five good quality photos of your products to info@squarelemon.ca (be sure to identify your business). We will use these photos to advertise your products on our social media platforms.

ADVERTISING: We want you to be successful at the fair and will be actively promoting the event. Some of the best advertising is on social media when as many people as possible are sharing the event and posts from our Facebook page. The more it’s talked about, the more they are seen! So share as much as possible, invite your friends to the event, and encourage them to share it also. Vendors will also be provided with a printable poster to distribute and share among their networks.
