Want to get faster, better, and more confident with AI tools for translators—without the hype or overwhelm?

This friendly, hands-on webinar* is designed for translators and interpreters who want to:

🧠 Understand what AI tools can (and can't) do in real-world translation workflows

⏱ Save serious time on terminology, research, revision, and file prep

📚 Use AI effectively for translation-adjacent tasks like brainstorming, thought partnering, outlining, formatting, and client communication

📋 Master prompting frameworks and best practices to get useful, reliable results

🔐 Make smart choices about data security and confidentiality

🌍 Consider the environmental impact of AI tools and how to use them mindfully

🧰 Discover practical tools that are genuinely worthwhile and see them in action (many of them are free)

This workshop is not a sales pitch or a doomscroll—just a clear, translator-tested overview of how AI is showing up in our work and how to stay ahead of the curve.

Building on the concepts in Joe's book AI Resilient, we'll also look at how to profit from the technology and confidently talk to clients about the added value it entails for them.

This is a workshop by a Canadian translator, for Canadian translators.

About the presenter:

Joachim (Joe) was born into a French-speaking family in Belgium and grew up in the U.S.A. before moving to Quebec in 2006. When he took his first translation course—on a whim—he knew he had found his calling.

He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in translation and a master’s degree in education. In the ensuing years, he translated for a myriad of prestigious clients in Quebec and abroad.

To share his passion for the craft, over the past 15 years, Joe has taught French-into-English translation and related courses at Université de Sherbrooke and trained for NATO, the United Nations, the European Commission, OTTIAQ, Magistrad, Editors Canada, the Translation Bureau, ITI (UK), Training for Translators (USA), and many others.

Today he is the cofounder of LION Translation Academy, which offers training to help translators and translation teams to thrive in every area of their practice.
