We acknowledge that the land on which we are gathered is the traditional territory of the Anishinaabek Nation, specifically the Chippewas of Sarnia, who are now known as Aamjiwnaang First Nation. This land is also part of the Huron Tract Purchase (Treaty No. 29) of 1827 and the Longcore Treaty. We give thanks to the Indigenous peoples who have cared for this land and water since time immemorial and continue to do so today.
