The course demonstrates and analyzes my process of working from an initial sketch to a finished cue. Each class will add another orchestral family culminating in the full orchestra. Video clips will be provided.

This is beginning level course.

Pacific Time: 10:00 - 11:30 AM
Atlantic Time: 2:00 - 3:30 PM

Introduction and demonstration of working on a sketch – April 19th
Added the strings – May 3rd
Adding the winds – May 17th
Adding brass, harp, percussion – May 24th

The emphasis will be on practical tips for modern arranging and orchestration techniques, with a strong focus on real-world application. This course is designed to provide both foundational knowledge and advanced techniques for contemporary orchestration.

Evolving Piece

Throughout the course, the class will work on a single cue that evolves over time, incorporating various orchestration techniques and ultimately culminating in a fully orchestrated cue for full orchestra.

Each week I will review your scores and give you individual notes.
We will score to picture using clips that I will provide to you.

Hands-on approach, helping you develop your orchestration skills in both traditional and contemporary scoring contexts
