💡Weekly Topics:

Jan 26: Postcard party- We'll make postcards to send to people who have helped us to get where we are today.
Feb 2: Vision Boards- We'll make vision boards about your goals and dreams.
Feb 9: It's about time!- With school, work, family, and our social lives we have so many responsibilities. We'll break down how we can organize our time.
Feb 16: What's next?- We'll make roadmaps for where you may go after graduation.
March 2: All aboard the struggle bus- This week we're boarding the struggle bus together to chat about things we're struggling with and ways to work through it.
March 9: Values (Your Version)- We'll be painting and chatting about what is most important to YOU.
March 16: Habit Stacking- Let's create new habits by building on ones we already have.
March 23: Celebration- This is our last week! Let's celebrate how far we've come this term. You'll get to write a letter to your future self (we've got some fun stickers and markers).

First Nations peoples have lived on this part of Turtle Island for millennia, stewarding the land, the water and all that contributes to life in this region. Today, the culture and presence of First Nations, Inuit and Metis peoples enrich the lands and people of this territory. Over two centuries ago, the Mississauga people welcomed settlers to this territory, providing sustenance and engaging in trade and commerce. Between 1781 to 1820, eight treaties were signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation who opened their territory to settlement. Today, Sheridan campuses are located on Treaty 14, also known as the Head of the Lake Purchase of 1806 and Treaty 22 and 23 of 1820. Treaty history is foundational, and it is our collective responsibility to honour the land, as we honour and respect those who have gone before us, those who are here and those who have yet to come. We are grateful for the opportunity to be learning, working and thriving on this land, and we commit to learn the truth and be active in the process of reconciliation.
