Step into a space where herbal wisdom, Caribbean flavour, and ancestral care intertwine. Join NiLo, Caribbean herbalist and founder of Afrodisiac Naturals, for a hands-on journey into the functional and ancestral power of herbs.

Through scent, taste, and storytelling, you’ll learn about the medicinal and spiritual properties of plants that NiLo has grown and dried. Participants will explore how ancestral wisdom connects us to biocultural traditions and collective wellness.

Guided by NiLo, participants will blend their own personalized functional tea as a reflection of both heritage and healing.

🎟 Tickets: $55 before November 23, $65 afterwards

50g of your custom blended tea to take home
A nourishing meal from Iland Vybes Jamaican Café (valued at $25)
- Choice of:
  - Jerk Chicken Meal – Succulent jerk chicken served with rice and peas and coleslaw
  - BBQ Pull Pork Wrap – Sweet and smoky pull BBQ pork wrapped with coleslaw and mixed greens. Served with fries.
  - Vybes Salad – A bright mix of greens, apples, cranberries, and ginger vinaigrette

About Feed the Soul YEG

Feed the Soul YEG is a year-round initiative dedicated to elevating, strengthening and celebrating the diversity of Edmonton's ethnocultural food establishments.

This grassroots organization was created by a volunteer-led and driven team dedicated to promoting and offering safe spaces for local Black-, Indigenous- and racialized-owned businesses to expand their presence in the city. This is done through year-round programming including our Black Futures Month Dining Week, Ten Dolla Deals affordable meals, food tours, pop-ups and catering.

About NiLo

NiLo is a Caribbean herbalist and founder of Afrodisiac Naturals, Edmonton’s first exclusive natural hair and holistic care shop. A creative force and community builder, NiLo channels ancestral wisdom through her herbal, artistic, and cultural work — from her children’s books Harriet’s Humongous Hair and Harriet’s Tremendous Day to her role as Band Leader of Afrodisiac Mass Band.
