Join Feed the Soul YEG and Lochi Afro Nija for an evening pop-up celebrating authentic Nigerian food and the release of Feed the Soul YEG’s 2026 Black Futures Dining Guide.

With any purchase, receive a FREE Nigerian pastry (while quantities last) — choose from meat pie, chicken pie, fish pie, sausage roll or puff puff.

Nigerian meat pies and sausage rolls feature savoury, spiced fillings wrapped in flaky pastry, while puff puff offers a lightly sweet, golden fried dough. Pastries are a staple at celebrations and gatherings.

Guests are encouraged to explore Lochi Afro Nija’s full menu, including jollof rice, fried rice, spicy goat, egusi soup and fufu, each offering traditional Igbo culinary heritage.

The BLACK FUTURES DINING GUIDE is Edmonton’s first city-wide print resource celebrating Black-owned restaurants. Created by FEED THE SOUL YEG, the guide highlights the people and stories shaping the city’s Black dining scene and serves as a year-round tool to encourage continued exploration and support beyond Black Histories and Futures Month.

ABOUT FEED THE SOUL YEG

Feed the Soul YEG is a year-round initiative dedicated to elevating, strengthening and celebrating the diversity of Edmonton's ethnocultural food establishments.

This grassroots organization was created by a volunteer-led and driven team dedicated to promoting and offering safe spaces for local Black-, Indigenous- and racialized-owned businesses to expand their presence in the city. This is done through year-round programming including our Black Futures Month Dining Week, Ten Dolla Deals affordable meals, food tours, pop-ups and catering.
