This evening begins with a short documentary exploring relationships across generations—how we care for each other, misunderstand each other, and sometimes find unexpected connection.

After the film, we’ll share tea and open the space for conversation.

Come with a parent, child, or someone from another generation—or come on your own and be part of the circle.

You might leave seeing each other a little differently.

The Film: No Crying at the Dinner Table

No Crying at the Dinner Table is a short documentary by Vietnamese Canadian filmmaker Carol Nguyen.

Through conversations with her own family, the film gently explores intergenerational silence, cultural expectations, and the ways we express—and withhold—emotion.

It’s an intimate, honest look at what often goes unsaid, and what can happen when we begin to speak.

About Soulbound Presents

Soulbound Presents is a series of gatherings centred around community, culture, and connection.

Some evenings feature stories or music, others a film, a guest, or something unexpected.

Each one is a little different—but all are an invitation to come together, be present, and experience something worth sharing.

Most take place on Sunday evenings, though occasionally they appear at other times when the opportunity calls for it.
