Welcome to Queerotica, a writing workshop, zine, and reading party.

If you want to:

make November the hottest month of the year; hone your sexting skills; write a slutty story for someone (incluing yourself); create, read and hear erotica that reflects your queer experience; make hot gays respectfully horny with your words; meet other awesome queer writers; step outside your comfort zone;

then spend November with writer Mx Maia at Three Dollar Bill.

What will it be like?

Every Sunday from November 2nd - 23rd we'll come together to share space, be vulnerable, and create smut!

We'll explore writing exercises, desires, and language, and share progress as we each work towards writing a short story. You'll leave with new queer pals, a collection of writings, and a finished piece with the option to have it published in queerotica (the zine) vol. 2! We'll celebrate our month of erotica with a reading party on November 30th, where your creations will be read to a captive audience of friends, queers and smut sluts.

The workshops run from 3-5pm, with an additional, optional hour from 5-6pm to stay and continue to write together, share, or ask questions.

No writing experience is necessary, just an open mind and a desire to create queer art in community!

Maia is a queer, nonbinary, polyamorous writer who focuses on sex, sexuality, smut, gender and mental health. They publish a newsletter called Sex, Drugs & Endometriosis and live in Toronto with their black cat, Stella.
