Got a bike with a flat tire? A favourite jacket with a broken zipper? An old camera or record player that’s stopped working? Or maybe a blender that’s on the fritz? Bring them all to Humber's first Repair Café! We'll fix your items, have a great time, and learn some handy repair skills along the way.
Venue: North Campus - LRC 1st floor
Address: 205 Humber College Blvd, Etobicoke, ON M9W 5L7
Time: 11am-2pm
Venue: Lakeshore Campus - G Cottage
Address: 17 Colonel Samuel Smith Park Drive, Etobicoke, M8V 4B6
Time: 11am-2pm
The type of repairs offered at a Repair Café depends on the skills of the volunteers present that day, but typically will include:
Electronics: Computers, DVD players, and other small electronics.
Small appliances: Fans, blenders, microwaves, and other small household appliances.
Clothing: Clothes or textiles that need mending, broken zippers etc.
Jewelry: Broken clasps, watches, etc.
Bicycles
Other household items: Broken chairs, picture frames, toys, clocks, and other general household items.
We are partnering with Let's Get Together to offer a Tech Collect Drive at this event. Please bring any unwanted computers or electronics to be refurbished (or safely recycled) and circulated back to youth in need in the community. Any existing data will be erased from donated computers.
Open to Humber and University of Guelph-Humber students, employees, and community members.
