Meet Your Guides

This event is presented by serial entrepreneur Scott Annan, founder of guides.co and Soulbound. Scott was a grassroots leader in Ottawa's startup ecosystem in the late 2000's where he hosted many events and opened his office as a free co-working place for startups. At a time when there were few angel investors, he launched Ottawa's first startup accelerator, Mercury Launch, and was the first investor in three early stage startups: Openera (acquired), VeganCuts (acquired), & FullScript - one of Ottawa's fastest growing companies. He's advised, invested in, or provided strategic services for dozens of startups, governments, and world-class brands.

Scott will be joined by Jennifer Batley, a seasoned facilitator with a people-centred approach to guiding teams through change, growth, and uncertainty. Known for her calm, thoughtful presence, she creates space for purposeful dialogue and meaningful connection. An Ottawa native, Jennifer has held executive roles, advised global brands, and now partners with both early-stage founders and established organizations to navigate complexity with clarity and intention.
