Join fellow trainees and early-career researchers for an evening of career exploration and networking focused on research and development (R&D) in industry.

Organized in collaboration with the Structural Genomics Consortium (SGC), the Office of Research Trainees (ORT) and the Canada Leads Program at UHN, this interactive session brings together industry scientists with diverse career paths to share their experiences, discuss emerging opportunities in drug discovery and biomedical research, and answer audience questions.

Whether you are considering a career in academic research, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or translational science, this event offers a unique opportunity to gain practical insights, connect with peers and professionals, and expand your network.

Who Should Attend?

This event is ideal for:

UHN postdoctoral researchers, scientific associates, graduate students and early-career scientists exploring careers in R&D, including Canada Leads recruits
UHN research trainees and staff interested in drug discovery, biotechnology, or translational research.
UHN research trainees and staff looking to build connections and learn from professionals working across the research ecosystem.

The evening will feature a moderated career discussion followed by an informal networking reception, providing ample opportunity to engage with panelists and fellow attendees in a relaxed setting.
